Aileen ChenAileen Chen was concerned about the potential dangers of radiation from laptops, cell phones and other devices on her unborn child. So, she set out to develop a breathable fabric that would guard against radiation. Through a wide network of resources and tons of hard work, Chen found an engineering team to create the textile. Her Belly Armor is a series of maternity apparel — bands, tees and blankets — that shield growing babies from everyday radiation. Despite scathing critics and bad press, Belly Armor is succeeding. The company has expanded from the U.S. and now sells to Australia, Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan and other countries. You can learn more about the line at BellyArmor.com. Belly Armor is available at CVS.com and Drugstore.com. |
Elysse FleeceElysse Fleece launched Kozzy Bottoms in March 2011 to raise awareness about the benefits of cloth diapers and natural parenting products. Originally, the online shop only sold cloth diapers, but they’ve expanded their inventory to include diaper covers, inserts, liners, baby care products, children’s clothing, hair accessories and more. Fleece is the mom of a toddler and wife of a military man, so it’s often difficult to manage family time and Kozzy Bottoms — but so far, the company has been a success. |
