Celeb parenting tweets of the week: Beyonce baby, Jenny McCarthy and more!

The twittersphere exploded this week after the birth of Beyonce’s baby, Blue Ivy Carter. Check out the best Beyonce baby tweets, as well as tweets from Jenny McCarthy, Christina Applegate and Alyson Hannigan.

Beyonce baby bonanza

The Beyonce baby mania was kicked off by a tweet from celebrity mom Gwyneth Paltrow, who announced the birth — and the famous baby name.

“Welcome to the world Blue!” she tweeted on Jan. 7. “We love you already.”

After one confused follower asked her to clarify the name, Gwynnie wrote, “It’s Blue Ivy Carter!

“Thank God Beyonce had her baby and can go back to work,” tweeted Conan O’Brien. “For the past 6 months that family’s had to live entirely on Jay-Z’s salary.”

Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams defended herself after one of her twitter followers called her out for not congratulating Beyonce on twitter.

“Let’s get ONE thing straight….I do NOT have to say congrats to someone when they’re NOT on twitter…ESPECIALLY when I talk or email them all the time….or when I’ll be physically present as well…so harrassing and stalking my timeline to see if I’ve mentioned something is POINTLESS!!!” Williams wrote on twitter. “My friendship with people aren’t always for twitter display.”

50 Cent caused some controversy when he tweeted a picture of a baby with Jay-Z’s face, writing: “Yal play to much congratulations to JAYZ and Beyonce BABY #BlueIvyCarter IS GEORGOUS,” he tweeted. “I’m sure Jay is the happiest he’s ever been in his life. I remember when MARQUISE was born I was so happy. I want to have another kid one day.”

Even Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, tweeted, “Congratulations to @beyonce and Jay-Z for their new born, Blue Ivy Carter. “

No tweet yet from Beyonce, who has over 2 million twitter followers but has yet to write a single tweet!

“Big news! I’m having a baby!” the actress tweeted, with a link to her website that gave a longer statement. “I finally get what they mean when they say pregnant women GLOW. Our little bundle of joy is a honeymoon baby, due at the end of June.”

Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy’s son, Evan, was diagnosed with autism in 2005 ,and the actress has been an advocate for the disorder since then. She tweeted about her son to a follower, who asked how her son was doing.

“He was diagnosed with autism & i immediately did bio-med and therapy and like some kids, no longer show signs,” she wrote. “He no longer qualifies for autism anymore but has cognitive disorder… My book called Mother Warriors talks all about it.”

Another eye-catching tweet from McCarthy? “Emma Stone just won a People’s Choice Award. I know someone that must be really excited about that,” she tweeted, referring to her ex-boyfriend, Jim Carrey, who professed his love for Stone.

Alyson Hannigan

“This morning my daughter said to me “Wow Mommy, your tummy is getting BIG!”” the How I Met Your Mother star tweeted. “I’m really glad I’m pregnant & she didn’t say butt.”
