Fun craft projects to do on Family Day

When kids get a day off from school, they might just sit around in front of the TV all day. But that isn’t what Family Day is about. Have fun and be productive at the same time by taking on the challenge of a cool new craft this Feb. 18.

For kids who are old enough to experiment with origami, this adorable folded-heart page marker created by Clara at Bloomize is a great way to get started. Upcycling old things you no longer need is an excellent way to spend Family Day with your kids. And Carolyn at Homework came up with the ultimate in upcycling when she created these T-shirt yarn braided coasters. Virtually every house has an abundance of old T-shirts gathering dust, and with this easy craft, you can turn that clutter into stylish new decor pieces!

It’s a little cold out to be visiting the zoo on Family Day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create your own little animal creatures at home.
