Creating relevant fashion content is important to a fashion blogger. Here are five resources that you can use to make sure you’re always ahead of the trends.

One of the best pieces of advice I can give to a mom blogger is to hone in on a niche and embrace it. I know I’ve mentioned this before in my column, but it’s the truth and I firmly believe it. It doesn’t matter what your niche is — food, fitness, crafting, fashion, green living, party planning — all that matters is that you love it and have a passion for it. Once you have your niche, it’s easier to create constant and consistent content because it’s something that’s easy for you to write about.

For me? It’s all about the fashion and style.

I’m a lover of all things fashion-related, specifically for moms, so it was an easy choice for me when I was trying to decide what I wanted to hone in on. I had worked in the fashion industry after college for five years, so I came into “mom fashion blogging” with some industry experience, making my new job that much easier for me and that much more comfortable. I’ve been a full-time fashion/style mom blogger for the last 3-1/2 years and I absolutely love it. I wake up every single morning excited and ready to blog, vlog, tweet and Facebook away all the latest and greatest fashion advice, tips and trends for moms!

The more I keep blogging in this “fashion/style” space, the more questions I get from other mom bloggers asking me, “How can I do this, too?” or “Where do you find a lot of your fashion content?”

It’s all about staying on top of the latest trends and styles and really having a true passion for it. If you do, you’ll be golden. I also feed from five different resources every morning to see what’s going on and what’s “hot” in the fashion moment.
