Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

If your kids can’t get enough of the classic Christmas stories shown each year on TV, consider buying a DVD set. The Original Christmas Classics Gift Set (Best Buy, $20) features seven movies — Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol (1962), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), Cricket on the Hearth (1967), The Little Drummer Boy (1968), Frosty the Snowman (1969), Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (1970) and Frosty Returns (1992).

Disney’s Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups

Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups is an all-new heartwarming and hilarious adventure starring a brand new litter of the talking Great Pyrenees puppies. Premiering on Disney Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital recently, Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups is a fun film for the entire family to enjoy this holiday season. The Santa Paws 2 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers, $40) makes a great Christmas gift too.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Another Christmas movie from decades gone by that shouldn’t be missed is Chuck Jones’ animated version of the classic Dr. Seuss book How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It originally aired on TV in 1966 and quickly became a favorite of families everywhere. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Best Buy, $10) was remade into a live-action movie by director Ron Howard starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch in 2000, but we recommend the original.

The Santa Clause 3-Movie Collection

Though the original of The Santa Clause is great, you’ll really want all three films. With this trilogy collection, you get The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause — which all star Tim Allen as Santa. The Santa Clause 3-Movie Collection (Amazon Prime, $30) is now available on Blu-ray disc. These Disney movies are absolutely hilarious and your whole family will enjoy each and every one of them, again and again.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Who can forget Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree with just a few branches and one ornament. A childhood favorite that is shown on TV every year, A Charlie Brown Christmas (Target, $14) was remastered on DVD and includes a bonus Peanuts Christmas TV special.
