  • blue pipe cleaners
  • scissors

Directions:

  1. Cut the star garland into six sections that are 2 feet long.
  2. Fold each section of star garland in half, then gather them in a bundle with the folded ends at the top.
  3. Wrap the chenille pipe cleaners around the bottom third of the bundle to create a handle for the wand.
  4. Bend the tops of the star garland to make the firework shape.

Pipe cleaner fireworks

What you’ll need:

  • red, white and blue pipe cleaners
  • scissors
  • star-shaped beads
  • string

Directions:

  1. To make one firework, cut five pipe cleaners in half. You will have 10 pieces of pipe cleaner.
  2. Bundle nine of the pieces together and wrap the remaining piece around the center of the bundle to hold it together.
  3. Bend the ends of the pipe cleaners to form the firework shape.
  4. Thread star-shaped beads on the end of each pipe cleaner.
  5. Cut a length of string and tie it around the center of the firework. Use the string to hang the firework.

Red, white and blue glitter fireworks

What you’ll need:

  • pencil
  • glue
  • red, white and blue glitter

Directions:

  1. Start by drawing fireworks with the pencil on the black construction paper.

  3. Let the glue dry, then shake off any excess glitter.
  4. Cover a few more lines with glue, then sprinkle the glue with the blue glitter.
  5. Once the glue dries, shake off any excess glitter, then cover the remaining lines with white glitter using the same steps as above.
  6. Shake away the white glitter and your firework art is ready to hang!
