Best family campgrounds in Canada

Those who have an outdoor-loving family will be up for these adventurous family-friendly camping destinations in Canada, which offer much more than just a place to set-up camp. Check them out!

Miracle Beach Provincial Park, Vancouver Island

An extremely popular camping destination during the summer (you’ll want to be sure to make reservations), but open year-round, Miracle Beach offers the perfect spot for family fun. Sandy beaches for swimming, forest trails, and a wildlife viewing area are available for campers. Amenities include toilets, showers, and adventure-type playground, a visitor’s center and nature house with aquariums, educational shows in the open-air amphitheater, and brochures outlining nature trails. The park is accessible for the disabled.

Bon Echo Family Campground

A mere three hours drive from Toronto, Bon Echo is known for the provincial park, but five minutes south of the park there is a family-oriented campground which may be worth a peek! The forested site boasts a sandy beach, modern conveniences (yes, they have WiFi!), and offers cottages and trailers for rent. The family can partake in fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Nearby there are golf courses, tennis courts, hiking trails, underground caves, horseback riding, even an enchanted forest!
