Dallas Children’s Museum of Nature and Science
This museum is a fantastic children’s museum that will allow your child to interact and learn in several imaginative areas. There is a farm town where children can milk a cow, collect fresh eggs, and ride in tractors. In the water area children can learn about movement, measurement and volume using water tools. There is a play town that lets your children pretend to be firefighters, an actor in the theater, and an engineer. There is even a live animal display wall that lets your child interact with turtles, lizards, snakes and more. Fort Worth Stockyards Museum
The Fort Worth Stockyards Museum is visited by thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. It is perfect for the youngster that wants to be a cowboy (or cowgirl) and a place to learn about the history of stockyards, cattle driving, and history from the early 1900’s. Clothing, toys, and household goods can all be found on display at the Fort Worth Stockyards Museum. Children can learn about the early days when the railroad first came to Fort Worth in 1876, and how Fort Worth because a major shipping and receiving area for livestock.

Cavanaugh Flight Museum
Come learn about early flight with real airplanes! The Cavanaugh Flight Museum has planes from every generation of flight to help entertain and amaze your children. Starting with WWI aircraft your child can be amazed at what airplanes used to look like and how they have changed over the years. Era’s include WWI and WWII fighter aircraft, aircraft from the Korean War in the 1950’s and Vietnam in the 1960’s. There is also a large collection of civilian aircraft from over the years. Besides aircraft the Cavanaugh Flight Museum is home to hundreds of pieces of artwork, artifacts, armor and vehicles that have helped make the art of flight possible. With three hangers full of planes, and even more planes outside that still run, your child is sure to be amazed by what they see. For the real adventurers, you can buy rides in one of two old warbirds PT-13 Stearman and the AT-6 Texan. If your child loves airplanes you want to be sure you visit the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.
