Forest Park
Forest Park is the biggest park in Fort Worth, centered near downtown, and is an area full of endless possibilities and excitement for your children. There are walking trails overlooking the Trinity River, ducks you can feed, picnic areas, and multiple playgrounds that will provide your child with hours of fun and enjoyment. There is even a small train ride that takes you from Forest Park, over the Trinity River to the duck park where you can get off and explore your surroundings before you reboard and ride back through Forest Park seeing a vast amount of nature that you and your children probably wouldn’t have time to walk around and explore on your own. Dallas Fair Park
Dallas Fair Park is not just a park, it is a collection of activities, water play, buildings and museums that you and your family can spend the day exploring. Dating back to 1886 when it just housed the State of Texas Fair Grounds, the Dallas Fair Park has grown to be a true family experience where fun and learning have melded together to become one. Today Fair Park covers 277 acres of play areas, buildings, flower gardens, butterfly exhibits and lots of shade to sit down, relax and take a break. Also, a large part of the cities museums can be found on Fair Park grounds so it makes it the perfect place to explore a large part of Dallas and the history surrounding it, without having to travel far.

White Rock Lake
White Rock Lake in Dallas is more than just a park. It is a unique 1,015 acre city lake, and is a place where you can participate in many activities with your family including hiking, fishing, bike riding, bird watching, and water play. Multiple picnic areas give you the perfect opportunity to have a shaded quite lunch with your family while you take a break from the activities that are at your fingertips. Bring your boat, kayak or canoe for fun out on the lake, your fishing poles to catch catfish, sunfish and bass, or just your backpacks to enjoy a nice nine mile hike. There is plenty to do to keep your kids happy and entertained.

Andrew Brown Jr. Community Park
Coppell is a quiet little city north of Dallas with one of the biggest and most fun park and recreation areas that your kids will love. The Andrew Brown Jr. Community Park area has an enclosed wooden playground area that includes a dozen swings, a tire swing, a large sand box, multiple benches and several picnic tables perfect for lunch or a birthday party. Right outside of the playground is the indoor/outdoor aquatic center where your kids can have fun year round. Down a short sidewalk you will find two very large “ponds” with walking trails around them that take you over bridges and past marshes where you can see ducks, fish, walk your dogs, and enjoy the outdoors. There are softball fields, basketball courts, football/lacrosse fields, and a concession stand for your family entertainment.

Fort Worth Botanical Garden
The Fort Worth Botanical Garden is a park adventure your kids will love. The most colorful flowers, the most unique plants, thousands of butterflies dancing around, and tons of a fun your kids will beg to go experience again. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Texas and takes up 109-acres. A peaceful haven nestled in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District, the Garden is home to over 2,500 species of native and exotic plants that flourish in its 23 specialty gardens. There are special activities for your child to help them learn about the seasons, different types of plants and trees and to have some fun bird watching.
