Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas is billed as “The World’s First Regional Theme Park,” and has themed areas representing the flags that have flown over the state of Texas. They offer amusements for all ages, with rides for little tykes as well as thrill rides for bigger kids and adults. The younger set will enjoy visiting and playing all day with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and all their favorite Looney Toons characters.
Six Flags’ roller coasters go high in the sky — such as the Texas Giant, a wood and steel super hybrid coaster that holds the record for the world’s steepest wooden coaster drop. This and the park’s other coasters can be seen for miles up and down the freeway that runs right next to the park providing easy access in and quick access home after a long day.
If you get hot, you can hop over to the water rides in the park to get yourself soaked and cool off. Many rides are even equipped with misting fans while you wait in line for those hot days. During the summer, there are concerts every week that you and your kids will enjoy.
