Phoenicians may not get to experience this type of snow-filled holiday night provided by nature, but they can experience it throughout the season courtesy of Desert Ridge Marketplace’s Snow What Fun event.
Snow What Fun at Desert Ridge Marketplace
Though Dec. 24, Desert Ridge provides it’s holiday shoppers young and old to revel in the magic of a quiet snowfall each night for 8 minutes at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.
Nov. 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. marks the Desert Ridge snowfall kick off with Rockin’ Road Show provided by Radio Disney, official tree lighting and fun games and prizes.
The “snow,” provided by MagicSnow, is made of 90 percent water and is non-toxic, non-staining and eco-friendly and it dissolves upon contact. But most of all, it creates a magical experience for Valley residents young old who have never experienced a real white Christmas.
The Desert Ridge snow fun doesn’t end there. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2011, is 98.7 The Peak Snow Day at Desert Ridge Marketplace. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids can play in 35 tons of man-made snow, decorate holiday treats, jump in a bounce house and enjoy live music and prices.
Before the 7 p.m. Desert Ridge snowfall on Dec. 1, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15, enjoy the free holiday story time and activities series complete with popular costumed cartoon characters presented by PBS, tumbling fun provided by The Little Gym and free hot chocolate and cookies from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
