Hollywood Christmas Parade in Los Angeles

Mark your calendars for a visit from Santa at this festive family-friendly tradition that combines the sparkle of Christmas with the glitz and glamor of Hollywood!

Hollywood Christmas Parade

As a kick off to the Christmas season, Hollywood Boulevard springs into the holiday spirit with holiday floats, marching bands, equestrian riders, and of course, celebrities! Santa Claus makes an appearance in style like only Tinsel Town can bring, while movie and television stars make this a holiday event like no other.

Originally known as the “Santa Claus Lane Parade,” this annual Los Angeles-sponsored holiday parade is free to attend. However, you can pay to reserve grandstand seating to ensure your spot alongside the festivities. Grandstand seating offers more than a mere place to sit. From your viewpoint, you’ll be seated next to the broadcast filming area, which means you will have prime viewing of the parade, catch a glimpse of the television filming action, be guaranteed to hear the bands play and the parade performers in action. Those planning to view curbside may want to arrive early, as people start staking claim to their spots in the morning. Bring folding chairs to make your wait more comfortable.

Bring your cameras to capture celebs, as past parades have proudly boasted such stars as Vivica A. Fox, Susan Lucci, Cindy Williams, Antonio Sabato, Jr. and many more. This event, also the inspiration for Gene Autry’s song, Here comes Santa Claus, occurs annually the weekend after Thanksgiving and is scheduled for Nov. 27, 2011 at 6 p.m.
