Delaware might be cool for most of the year, but come summer, even this small state needs an opportunity to cool off. Luckily, this jungle-themed water park offers enough refreshment to get even the hottest climates through the summer.
Jungle Jim’s, Rehoboth Beach
Just miles away from the lush landscape of Cape Henlopen State Park, Jungle Jim’s fun park is like jumping into a different world, filled with jungle themes, warm sun and easy living. Sure, you could spend your time at the nearby beach, but a few things the beach doesn’t have are go-karts, bumper boats, batting cages, mini-golf and water slides to boot!
Parents can rest easy as kids scour the park for their favorite activity. Choose a lounge chair by Jungle Jim’s wave pool for a bit of relaxed fun, or grab a tube and head toward the lazy river, where you can soak up the sun without burning up, thanks to the cool water.
Your kids might be too young to venture off on their own, but there’s fun for the entire family at this all-day adventure park. Let the little ones cool down at the kids’ spray ground, or take them to the kiddie pool for a little bit of supervised splish splash.
Refuel at the River Cafe, where burgers, salads, pizza, sandwiches and ice cream will keep energy levels up as you explore the massive Jungle Jim’s campus.
Go-kart, bumper boat and mini-golf passes are sold separately. All-day water park passes are sold by height, not age. If you’re over 42 inches tall, you’ll pay $32. Under 42 inches? You’ll pay $20. Discounted tickets for twilight swimmers are available.
