Take this opportunity to go wild! Open all year round, Brandywine Zoo gets you up close and personal with a number of exotic creatures, including tigers, pythons, leopards, turtles, tarantulas, monkeys, owls and more.
Stop by to say hello to any of the zoo’s approximately 150 creatures, and learn about them with the zoo’s knowledgeable staff. Every day, zoologists brings families on adventures that teach kids about their favorite animals and let them follow staff and have the full zoo keeper experience. Near the otter exhibit, there’s a zoo-related story time where live storytellers tell lore of the animals, complete with crafts and other fun activities.
Want to keep the learning going and the family together? The zoo offers a wide variety of family programs, where kids and adults alike can go on a variety of adventures with zoo staff, like “Red, White and Zoo,” which combines American patriotism with fun animal presentations, and “Pollinator Power,” which exhibits how important pollinating species like bees and hummingbirds are to our environment.
