When the cool Maine temperatures make a break for sunny days and moderate weather, Maine residents come out to play and celebrate their cultural heritage at any of these fabulous festivals around the state.
Ride Into Summer
In the heart of historic Gardiner is a summer celebration that used to be dubbed “Hawgs, Pies and Fireworks.” Skipping the literal name for something more modern, this festival is about more than the aforementioned attractions. There’s a bike parade, pizza contest, live music and, yes, Maine’s biggest annual fireworks display, all on the extended weekend of Memorial Day each year.
