Bruneau Dunes State Park
The sand dunes provide for day entertainment and the campsites will make the perfect end to any outdoor adventure day. This park has one of the longest available time periods for camping, often starting in March and lasting long into fall. There are two cabins available for rent and also 82 campsites! Reservations aren’t required at Bruneau Dunes State Park but are recommended, as the cabins and campsites are extremely popular. There is also an equestrian area where visitors can camp overnight with their horses, making this a truly well-rounded place for overnight needs.

Farragut State Park
This park was a WWII naval training center making for lots of history at this site. With over 4,000 acres of wilderness and a lake, there is plenty of space to truly enjoy the scenery and peacefulness of this locale. The park is at the mouth of Lake Pend Oreille, allowing for lots of lake access. Farragut offers some of the state’s most premiere and plentiful camping experiences. It’s a true North Idaho camping experience and heavily wooded. The park is only six miles from Silverwood Theme Park & Boulder Beach Water Park. Stay overnight at the campgrounds and go to the theme park during the day.

Henrys Lake State Park
Henrys Lake is the eastern most state park in Idaho and only 15 miles from Yellowstone National Park. This is a popular park for fishing and all lake activities. The lake is well stocked and allows for easy access for motorized boats. The large campgrounds offer ample campsites, which makes planning for a large group or family reunion very easy. You’ll also find 44 campsites and rustic cabins to rent.

Harriman State Park Family
This park is located at the mouth of the Henry’s fork, making this one heck of a world class fly-fishing spot! Some sections are accessible by guide only. You’ll find over 20 miles of trails in the area. The park itself is a huge wildlife refuge. Once part of the Harriman family’s ‘Railroad Ranch’, the existing historic home structures are now available for rent. Single and multi-room cabins are available for reservations year-round. The recently added Scovel Center offers 10 single rooms with restrooms and an adjacent common area for meetings and special group gatherings. Dorm-style sleeping and cooking facilities are also available, as are two yurts.

Hell’s Gate State Park
Hell’s Gate has a primo spot right along Snake River. You can contact local river guides to do jet boat rides. The nearby town of Lewiston, just minutes in a car, has plenty of shopping and restaurants should you choose to venture out of one of the most scenic parks in the state. Hells Gate State Park offers three campgrounds and 91 campsites. In addition to six camping cabins, all complete with lockable windows and doors, heat, A/C, power and accommodate up to six.
