Science, history and technology come to life at the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, an interactive museum for children of every age. There’s so much to see and do that every child’s curiosity will be satisfied. See if you can get to the top of the unique climbing structure, then take a walk down Kids Street, a replica of a subdivision created in kid-size proportions and shop at the To Market, To Market grocery store. From there learn about the culture and traditions of another country in the Celebrate the World exhibit. Where will your interests take you next? Perhaps you’d like to take a step back in time at the History Hotel, with its furnishings and decor from the 1890s, or experience life from another perspective in the What It’s Like to Be Me exhibit highlighting what it’s like to function in everyday life with various differences and disabilities. At the WLMDC-TV exhibit, practice broadcast journalism as you act as an anchor person, cameraman or producer. Stop by the Art Knows Anything Goes artist studio and learn different art techniques as you create your own work of art. Investigate the science of the natural world at the It’s A Matter of Science exhibit. Then get even more hands-on with nature as you visit the tree house village and Bear Creek cabin.
