Thanksgiving Point Farm
The farm at Thanksgiving Point is a favorite activity for preschool-age children. They enjoy the pony rides and being able to see the animals up close. Rabbits, horses, cows and turkeys are a few of the animals the kids will see. Inside the barn, kids can learn about milking a cow.

Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum
More than 6,000 square feet of exploratory fun, preschoolers love the two floors of adventure. On the main level, experience what it’s like to be a worker bee in a hive, follow food from the farm to the grocery store, work on a construction site or learn about managing a home.

Edutainment Center
The Edutainment Center at the West Valley Fitness Center is a room full of discovery for preschoolers. Children will love pretending like they are workers in a grocery store or racers on a racetrack. With only one secure entrance, parents will love being able to let their kids run and have fun without worry that they have wandered out of the area.

Wheeler Farm
Preschoolers love visiting this historic family farm in Murray. Children can get see horses, cows, pigs and birds up close. Hayrides are a great way to see the farm when your child gets worn out. The farmhouse is open for tours to learn about the Wheeler family that built the farm. An old-fashioned treehouse is a favorite activity for young children to climb and play in.

Hogle Zoo
Preschoolers love the variety of animals that can be seen at the zoo. Wagons and strollers are available to rent if you forget to bring your own. Walking up and down the hilly terrain can get tiresome for young children, and riding the zoo train is a perfect break from seeing the animals. New exhibits are always opening, and volunteers are available to teach the kids about those animals. Feeling an elephant’s skin and tusk is one hands-on activity that preschoolers enjoy.

Fire Station Tour
Teaching preschoolers about fire safety can be stressful for some parents, so taking them on a free tour of a fire station is great for parents and children alike. Children will enjoy seeing the firefighters all dressed up in their firefighting gear, and will teach them to not fear or hide from them in case of a fire. Climbing aboard the fire truck and seeing where the firefighters sleep and eat is fascinating for young children.

Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum
The giant size of the dinosaurs at this museum fascinate preschoolers. A favorite activity is digging for fossils and dinosaur bones in the sand pit. Venture from one room to the next and learn about different paleontology periods in each room. Children will be amazed standing underneath the life-size dinosaur and comparing its height to theirs.
