Shemar Moore has been on Cloud 9 since the news broke that he was going to be a first-time dad in his 50s, and since then, he’s been reminding fans time and time again that being a dad is his favorite role ever.
For those who don’t know, Moore and girlfriend of four years (and counting) Jesiree Dizon announced in early Jan 2023 that they were expecting their first child together. Mere weeks later, they welcomed their daughter Frankie into the world on Jan 24, 2023, and since then, they’ve melted our hearts with every update. (Also, Dizon also has two children from previous relationships: a son named Kaiden and a daughter named Charli, with whom Moore seems quite close to!)
Since becoming a first-time dad at 52 years old, Moore has been taking fans along the ride for all the firsts with his daughter Frankie: her first Halloween, her first word, her first birthday, and more. And he’s not stopping there! From sweet holiday posts to hilarious videos showing off her dance moves, Moore is showing everyone how happy he is to be Frankie’s dad!

Calling Frankie ‘My Little Miracle’ (2024)
Moore revealed to People that she started walking in the spring of 2024. “She’s walking, she waited for me to get off of work. I get the announcement that S.W.A.T. is coming back for season 8 and 22 episodes and literally the next day, she walked 10 steps. Now she’s waddling all over the house,” he said. “She’s my little miracle. The rest of my life, it’s for her.”
On Being a New Dad (2023)
In an interview with Jennifer Hudson on her show, he talked about what it’s like being a new dad. “You know, it’s crazy. It’s crazy,” he said, talking about how he looks to GF Jesiree Dizon for advice a lot. “Thank goodness for that because I just follow her lead in mommy-hood and fatherhood and all that. So I’m baby-stepping just trying to figure it all out.”
On Changing His Priorities (2023)
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Moore talked about how having a child shifted his priorities, telling the outlet, “I get the opportunity to be Daddy. And now it’s not about me anymore. Now everything I do is for her…I got the most amazing, beautiful little lady…she’s a happy lady.”
Lookalike Baby at All Angles (2023-2024)
Earlier this year, Shemar Moore shared a series of snapshots of Frankie and Mama Jesiree, with Frankie looking like the perfect mix between Jesiree and Moore. Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen how much of a lookalike she is to her parents, especially Moore.
Back in 2023, Frankie is also the master of the “mean mugging” look! He wrote, “You don’t scare me daddy!! What you looking at Hondo?! I can do what you do but better and cuter 🥰 Frankie Mean Mugging me 😠😠😂❤️.”
Along with that, everyone said Moore and Frankie looked like twins when this side-by-side photo came out.

Moore’s First Father’s Day (2023)

Now, he actually shared two posts that day. He shared another post, saying, “1st Father’s Day EVER… for me!!! BLESSED and GRATEFUL!! My father wasn’t in my life… I never celebrated Father’s Day… but i realize my mother and fathers love for each other once upon a time… that created me….I celebrated and honored MY MOTHER all day everyday my entire 50 years with her… my mother’s dream was to be a grandmother.. God called her name a little too soon… but My Girl Jesiree loves on me and gave me/us Momma Marilyn’s Dream and MY LIL MIRACLE… “Frankie Moore”… my daughter… My mother was my purpose…. Now Frankie is my purpose for the rest of my life!!! With all that I have experienced and accomplished, My daughter is my GREATEST TRIUMPH!!! Thinking of His Mom as a New Dad (2023)
He, Jesiree, and Frankie went to visit his mom’s grave, and it was such a touching moment. “Shemar, Jesiree, Frankie, and the spirit of Grandma Marilyn….. ❤️🕊️🥰 Mom’s dream was for me to become a father and give momma some grand babies… it took me a minute, but momma’s dream is now reality,” he said.
He added, “I accomplished much and experienced the good, the Great, the light, and the dark… but this I couldnt do on my own… Jesiree Dizon, we came back into each others lives and found love again and created a magical lil human together… I’ll call her ‘My little miracle’…..
