If you’re into the land of plenty that is Costco, you already know: It’s truly an untapped wonderland for necessities and not-so-necessary items galore. While some of us always thought of it as a place to stock up on groceries and home items, the true loyalists know about all the other essentials and goodies its shelves hold, including toys.
Whether your kid has a birthday coming up, or you’re just in the market for a treat (bribe?) for your little one, Costco can be a great way to sneak in that bit of toy shopping while doing…all the other errands that fill your life. Why not pick up a new LEGO set while grabbing toilet paper and chicken? Stock up on dish soap and a water table! The only thing we don’t recommend? Trying to buy Costco’s giant plush bear at the same time as your groceries. Unless an 18-wheeler is your typical ride, that is. (Online shopping solves SO many problems.)
Ahead are our top picks for toys at Costco. And if you haven’t already signed up for a Costco membership, what are you waiting for?

Bucket Playset
This sand and water playset is a kid favorite for sandbox time and bathtime alike (just maybe not in that order, because…sand in the bath). It includes a sifter, castle mold, watering can, and more. And the best part? Costco Deals just alerted us today that it’s on sale — in-stores only — for only $12.99.
LEGO Friends Andrea’s Pool Party
I don’t know who Andrea is, but judging by the giant slide, smoothie station, and DJ booth at her pool, I would also like to be her friend. For ages 6 and up.
LEGO Star Wars Battle Action Playset
Relive your childhood LEGO days with this Empire Strikes Back set. There are also plenty of other LEGO kits available at Costco for members only, so you’ve got to sign in for prices. (Ages 8 and up.)
LEGO Creator Helicopter
This isn’t just an opportunity to build a twin rotor helicopter. Dedicated builders can take that apart and then build a jet or a hovercraft with this three-in-one set for ages 9 and up. Next stop, engineering school?
Kidkraft Disney Princess Magnificent Dreams Castle Dollhouse
One day, when your child is grown and asks for help with a down payment on their dream house, you can shrug and say you already bought them a castle. Just kidding. Your princes and princesses deserve the world, and it’s nice that you can at least buy them this. (Ages 3 and up.)
Infinity Totter Balance Bike
We are constantly hearing from parents whose kids went straight from a balance bike to a two-wheeler without training wheels. It’s nice to attempt this feat without having to spend a fortune. This bike comes in red and blue.
93” Plush Bear
We are of two minds on this larger-than-life bear. It’s some children’s dream come true. For others, it very much looks like a nightmare. You might want to know which camp your child falls into before you buy. (Ages 3 and up.)
Baby Alive Cute Hairstyles Baby
This doll combines two things many small children love. First, they’re fascinated with bodily functions. Second, this is a baby, but she’s got luscious, flowing hair kids love to play with. She comes with a comb, brush, headband, clips, hair extensions, a (fake) hair drier, spray bottle, drinking bottle and a diaper. (Ages 3 and up.)
Step 2 Archway Falls Water Table with Accessories
This is worth hours of sensory stimulation and experimentation for your little scientists. You can even use it indoors as long as you have a good mop on hand.
L.O.L. Bubbly Surprise with Doll and Pet
Immerse a capsule in water to create a lot of fizz and unbox an adorable L.O.L. doll and her pet. The packaging is only half the fun.
Techno Gear Marble Mania, 4-in-1 Mega Set
You get four sets of marble runs, with 80-plus pieces each, in this sets. That means you can connect them all together for one giant run. Mania indeed. (Ages 6 and up.)
