Pink’s Most Relatable Mom Moments & Quotes

We have no idea how old the color pink is, but Pink, one of our favorite singers and celebrity moms of all time, is turning 41 on September 8. And while she’s always been an outspoken woman, we are delighted that she appears to be getting more candid with age — especially when it comes to talking about being a mother to 9-year-old daughter Willow and 3-year-old son Jameson.

Back in 2019, Pink announced to Entertainment Tonight that she was going to be taking 2020 off from music in order to spend more time with her family. Little did she know how much time with her family she would wind up spending this year. Like the rest of us, Pink faced some parenting challenges during quarantine, but as we’ve seen from her over the years, challenges are kind of her forte. That’s a good thing, considering the scare she and husband Carey Hart had when both Pink and Jameson became infected with COVID-19 in April.

“This is the scariest thing I’ve ever, ever been through in my whole life,” Pink told Ellen DeGeneres, describing what it was like when her youngest had chest pains and a fever that wouldn’t go away.

After her ordeal, she donated $1 million to coronavirus relief funds, because that’s what mothers do; they try to fix things however they can.

Since then, Pink has gone back to her more irreverent tone, clapping back at social media “parenting experts” and raising her kids exactly as she sees fit. We continue to be in awe of the confidence with which she does so. Along the way, she has shown us how to boost our kids’ self-esteem, find joy in their chaos, and even see how their quirks reflect upon our own childhoods.

We love that Pink doesn’t make motherhood look easy, but still conveys how much she loves it.

“It’s so hard. Y’all. I wish us mamas could give ourselves and each other a break,” she tweeted once.

We do too.

Here are more of Pink’s very real, and so effing perfect quotes about motherhood and her kids.
