Dancing With the Stars duo Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy welcome their first baby — a boy! — on January 10, 2023. The couple, who have been married since 2019, revealed their new arrival via Instagram with a sweet black-and-white photo of their baby boy’s tiny hand in theirs. 

In July 2022, Johnson revealed her pregnancy (and opened up about their fertility journey) in a heartfelt Instagram post: “We had actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to mentally/emotionally give ourselves a break … so the shock, disbelief, and sheer joy in this moment is a memory I will never forget.”

Chrissy Teigen & John Legend

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their newest baby on Jan 13, confirming to People after he told a small private party about it. He said they welcomed “the little baby this morning,” adding the sweet phrase, “What a blessed day.”

This birth of their baby comes after the heartbreaking pregnancy loss in October 2020. The married pair of nearly a decade also share two children named Luna Simon and Miles Theodore.

Manti Te’o & Jovi Nicole Te’o

Manti Te’o, former Notre Dame football star and subject of Netflix’s sports documentary UNTOLD: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist, welcomed son Kyro Aumua Te’o on Jan. 16 with his wife, Jovi Nicole. “Welcome my little King. We’ve all been waiting for you!” Jovi captioned the sweet Instagram announcement.

Kyro joins big sister Hiro, born in Aug. 2021.

Frank Ray and Emily Ray

Country music star Frank Ray welcomed his third child with his wife Emily on Jan. 14. “She’s here!” Ray said in an Instagram post introducing Olivia Ray Gomez to the world. 

Olivia has two older sisters, Chloe, 18, and Mackenzie, 6. Emily told PEOPLE in a statement that it was a special experience to see her daughters meet.

“My heart is so full. Watching Mackenzie meet Olivia for the first time was the perfect picture of true love.”

Ray told PEOPLE that his “whole world got so much bigger” with Olivia’s birth.

“It’s incredible how fast you can fall in love all over again.”

Kolby Cooper and Jillian Cooper

Country music star Kolby Cooper, his wife Jillian, and their young daughters, Josie and Charlee, welcomed a baby boy on Jan. 19

“Meet Karter Brian Haze Cooper, y’all,” Cooper said in an Instagram post. “The whole fam is completely in love with little man!!”

Karter has two older sisters, Josie, 4 and Charlee, 2, and Cooper told PEOPLE his son is lovingly named after his late paternal grandfather, Brian Cooper.

“Jillian and Karter are both happy and healthy,” Cooper told PEOPLE. “We are so overwhelmed with all the feelings of bringing a new life into the world… Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes!” 

Shay Mooney and Hannah Mooney

Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah welcomed their third son, Abram Shay Mooney, on Jan. 17. 

The Grammy winner from the country pop duo Dan + Shay posted a video of himself singing his song “When I Pray For You” to his newborn as they cuddle skin-to-skin in the hospital.

“Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it ❤️,” Mooney wrote.

Hannah said in her own post, “First song sang to the newest family member… Abram Shay, you’re so loved and so prayed over, baby boy.”

Abram has his big brothers Asher James, 5 and Ames Alexander, 3 to look up to. Though Asher and Ames both hoped for a baby sister, we are sure they are feeling that love for their baby bro too. 

Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope Lawrence

Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope Lawrence welcomed a baby girl, Dylan Rose Lawrence, on Jan. 16.

“Mom, Dad and big sisters are all so smitten with you sweet girl!” Lawrence said on Instagram.

“We welcomed her into this world with the most amazing midwife, everyone is happy and healthy and we are overjoyed with gratitude 🙏🏼🤍,” he said. “Stay tuned for baby spam xoxo”

Baby Dylan has two half-sisters, Charleston, 16 and Liberty, 12 who Lawrence shares with his ex-wife Chandie Yawn-Nelson.

Country star Drake White and his wife Alex welcomed their son, William Hawk White, on Jan. 20. The couple told PEOPLE their son will go by his middle name. 

“We saw hawks almost daily throughout the entire pregnancy and IVF process,” they said. “A hawk sighting symbolizes you’re going in the right direction. We took it as a sign from God and knew we’d use the name ‘Hawk’ if we had a boy.”

Hawk has arrived six years after the couple starting planning for a family. During that time, they had both reproductive and general health struggles.

“What a true blessing it is to welcome William Hawk White to the family. We’ve been praying for this little guy a long time! @alexm_white and Hawk are doing great!” Drake said on Instagram.

Brian McKnight and Leilani McKnight

Singer Brian McKnight and his wife Leilani have welcomed a baby boy. has added a baby boy to his family!

The couple announced the arrival of Brian Kainoa Makoa McKnight with a picture of their hands making a heart around their newborn’s hand.

“‘For this child we have prayed and the Lord has granted us the desires of our hearts’ 1 Samuel 1:27,” they wrote. “God’s greatest gift, our son is here!!!”

The couple has two other children, Jack and Julia, and had a third, Kekoa Matteo who tragically died when he was an infant. Baby Brian also has three half siblings from McKnight’s previous relationships.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum surprised everyone by announcing they secretly welcomed a baby boy into the world via surrogate, per PEOPLE.

She told the outlet, “It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”

Hilton and Reum have been together since late 2019, marrying in Feb 2021. This is their first child. 

Shemar Moore & Jeziree Dizon

At 52 years old, Shemar Moore is a first-time dad … to a baby girl! The actor’s rep confirmed the joyful news to PEOPLE on Jan. 24 that he and girlfriend Jeziree Dizon had welcomed their daughter.

He revealed the news that the couple was expecting earlier this month during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “I’m Shemar Moore, 52½ years old. My mother is in heaven, right now it’ll be the three-year anniversary on February 8,” he shared. “And on February 8, I’m going to make one of her dreams come true because, in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy.”

The baby didn’t wait until her due date to arrive, but babies always have their own timelines!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren welcomed a daughter, Mia Bella, on Jan. 24.

“We got an amazing Situation🥺!!” the Jersey Shore star said in an Instagram post. “We are beyond over joyed to welcome our little girl into this world to join our growing family of 4 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦”

Mia’s birth comes just days after Sorrentino posted a photo with his son, Romeo Reign, saying, “Of all the titles I’ve been privileged to have, ‘Dad’ has always been the best.”

Our guess is “Dad of Two” will be even better.

Casey Wilson and David Caspe welcomed baby number 3 via surrogate, which she revealed on Jan. 26 with a sweet Instagram post.

“This is the dawning of the Age Of Aquarius!” the Happy Endings actress wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of her newborn daughter. “Our angel Frances ‘Frankie’ Rose Caspe is here! Delivered by another angel, our surrogate and friend, Stacy whom we love and are immeasurably grateful for. Surrogacy is women supporting women in its highest form and it has been a profound experience. Uplifting and inspiring.”

This is the SNL alum’s first daughter. She also shares sons Max Red, 7, and Henry Bear, 5, with Caspe. “Frankie Rose is more than I could have ever imagined,” she continued. “She completes the sacred circle of mother and daughter I have longed for. I’m on the other side this time- wishing Grandma Kathy could see her and hoping (knowing) she can. Her arrival is healing and joyful. We move forth! Hand in hand. Katie Stevens & Paul DiGiovanni welcomed their first child on Feb. 23 and announced her birth a month later on Instagram.

“She’s here 💗,” the American Idol contestant and The Bold Type actress captioned her post. “Our sweet Rome, we are so in love with you.”

In the photos, Stevens and DiGiovanni, a musical artist best known for his time with Boys Like Girls, cradle their newborn who has a full head of dark hair just like her parents.

Alexander Skarsgård

After months of speculation, Alexander Skarsgård has confirmed that he and his girlfriend Tuva Novotny have welcomed their first child together.

The couple was seen pushing a stroller back in Nov. 2022 but didn’t announce the baby’s arrival until he subtly confirmed it in March 2023. Entertainment Tonightcongratulated the presumed new father on his growing family, and the Succession star confirmed fans’ suspicions when he said, “Thank you very much.”

This newborn may only be the start for Skarsgård. In a 2013 interview with Chelsea Handler, he said he wants to have a large family and “beat his dad,” actor Stellan Skarsgård.

“He had eight [kids], so I better get cracking, I guess,” he said.

Novotny also has a 16-year-old daughter, Ella Bjerrum Lersbryggen, who she shares with ex Nicolai Bjerrum Lersbryggen.

Mark Zuckerberg & Priscilla Chan

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan, welcomed their third daughter. The Meta CEO announced the news on Instagram today, revealing the babies sweet name and first photo.

“Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg!” he wrote. “You’re such a little blessing.”

In the photo, Zuckerberg smiles down at his newborn, who is swaddled in a colorful blanket and gazing in her dad’s eyes. In the next photo, Dr. Chan holds her precious bundle during skin-to-skin time as mom and daughter are both resting in bed.

Elijah Wood recently revealed to WSJ that he and his partner Mette-Marie Kongsved secretly welcomed a daughter in 2022. The two have been together since 2018, getting engaged in 2019 and welcoming a son named Evan in the same year.

Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black welcomed their second son in March, and we cannot get over the precious family.

“And then there were four,” Black captioned his post. “Our second son, Phoenix Rose Black-Daley, arrived at 3:34pm on March 28, 2023. ❤️”

The Oscar-winning screenwriter and Daley welcomed their first son, Robert “Robbie” Ray, via surrogate in 2018. In the newborn photos the couple released in early April, we see the dads and Robbie cradling Phoenix. Neither child’s face is shown.

Emmy Rossum never publicly said she was expecting baby #2 with husband Sam Esmail — so it came as a surprise to all when, on April 5, the Shameless alum posted a picture of inked baby footprints on her Instagram. “On a foggy Wednesday morning,” said the caption, “our son was born.”

Rossum has yet to share a name, but her newborn son joins his big sister, who was born in May 2021.

Broadway stars and Chicago Med alums Patti Murin and Colin Donnell welcomed their second daughter who they told PEOPLE is “absolutely perfect.”

“Welcome to our sweet, sweet Lorelai Grace Donnell,” Murin wrote on Instagram. “She was born April 2nd, and was welcomed so lovingly by her big sister Cecily. We are over the moon, feeling great, and we also nap a lot. Love love love ♥️”

NBC Sports’ Maria Taylor welcomed her first baby with husband Jon Hemphill. Their son, Roman Ryan Taylor Hemphill, came on Christmas Eve.

“My journey to motherhood has not been a straight line. It has been long and difficult, and there were several times I thought I would never become a mom,” Taylor told PEOPLE. “But when my son was placed on my chest, our hearts were overwhelmed with love and gratitude.”

 “I immediately knew I had given birth to my soulmate,” she said, completely melting our hearts.
