Chrissy Teigen shared a vulnerable new post on Instagram yesterday, where she bares her post-baby body (and insecurities) with the world.
In the photo, the Cravings author is gazing lovingly into her 3-month-old daughter Esti’s eyes. The duo is naked in the tub, with Teigen’s wet brown hair pulled back from her face as she holds her baby girl on her lap over a washcloth. Esti’s tiny toes peek out from underneath Teigen’s arm, which is covering her private areas. The newborn looks up at her mama in a sweet, intimate moment.

“A boob that somehow hangs all along my side and deep purple lifetime scars,” Teigen wrote in the caption. “But you are too perfect to worry about any of it !”
Did you just tear up, too? What a sweet expression of love — babies are worth the scars, the droopy boobs, and everything else that changes in a post-baby body. Just look at the love in Esti’s eyes to know this is true.
The Comments Were So Supportive
Teigen, who shares Esti as well as Luna, 7, and Miles, 4, with husband John Legend, inspired so many people with her post.
“Thank you for being brave (though it shouldn’t be brave) enough to post suck real photos,” Canadian actress Keegan Connor Tracy commented. “I think there’s a dysmorphia that is happening because everything is so filtered and contrived. This is just what people look like when we take down the veil. There is beauty in real. And in knowing that we sacrifice to make these beautiful little people. Our bodies are meant to be lived in! ❤️”

Someone else wrote, “When I was pregnant with my first, this older English gentleman told me, how beautiful I was and that any stretch marks were nothing but the beauty marks of giving life. And not to be ashamed but proud. And I never forgot that and changed my whole prospective (sic) for the good!!”

Chrissy Teigen Is Known for Keeping Things Real
Teigen often posts relatable motherhood content. When she announced Esti’s birth in Jan. 2023, she didn’t shy away from the details.
“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier 💕,” Teigen wrote on Instagram. “Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!?”
She added, “We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X”
Baby Esti Is Different From Her Siblings In One Special Way
Last week, Teigen shared the special way that Esti is different from her siblings, and it’s hilarious.
“We always joke that Esti is different from Luna and Miles in the way that you really have to do a few extremely specific things with her to get her to calm down or sleep,” she wrote on Instagram. Teigen also shared a slow-motion video of her rocking Esti and making funny hand gestures as Legend laughs in the background.
In her caption, she continued, “She likes an aggressive rock where your back has to hit the couch repeatedly, a butt pat, a shh shh sound, a bounce between rocks, her body flat against your chest, one arm up and one arm back and some sort of clothing to grab. Those things all together at once are her recipe for sleep. I think it’s because I rode a jerky camel uphill for too long when I was early pregnant.”
Legend commented, “🐫.”
Esti is the perfect example of just when you think you think you have parenting figured out, your baby switches things up. At least she’s adorable!
