Jodie Sweetin’s daughter may have only turned 15, but her birthday party had the sophistication of a much older socialite, and we are seriously jealous. The Full House actor took her daughter Zoie — who she shares with ex Cody Herpin — and two friends to dinner at Nobu and then let them pick out an accessory at Awe Inspired jewelry.
“And I may have gotten in on [the jewelry] too…,” Sweetin captioned the Instagram post she shared on Sunday. “A fabulous girls’ evening! (I can feel them rolling their eyes at this post already) 🤷♀️ Moms gonna mom.”
The carousel of photos includes selfies of Sweetin and Zoie, as well as the whole birthday crew, and a picture of the dessert plate that capped off what had to be a *chef’s kiss* meal at the famed sushi restaurant. And there are two things we just can’t get over. Firstly, how did our invitation get lost in the mail? Sweetin, we will DM you our contact info just to make sure your records are accurate. Secondly, how is it possible for the mother-daughter duo to look so much alike? Seriously, are we seeing double? Are we seeing a stunt double? Zoie could easily play a teenage version of her mom’s iconic Full House character, Stephanie Tanner, and we are in awe.
Got It From Her Mama
With her sweet eyes and round face, Zoie looks just like her mom did when she played the middle Tanner child. Now we are dying to know how Zoie would say, “How rude!” Over the course of eight seasons, Sweetin was known for delivering her catchphrase with the perfect amount of sass. Hey Sweetin, consider this our formal request for a video of you both saying the infamous line.
The Internet Agrees
Last week, Sweetin shared a carousel of pictures from the time her newly-15-year-old was a tot, and commenters couldn’t get over their resemblance either.
“She looks just like you,” one follower wrote, “I thought this was a throwback pic.”
“Zo, you have grown into such an INCREDIBLE young person, I am beyond proud of you,” Sweetin captioned the birthday post. “Your heart, your hard work, your sense of humor… you are such a bright light in so many ways. I love our chats together, catching up on drama, haha.”
Her Daughters Take After Her Character
Sweetin also has a 12-year-old daughter, Beatrix, who she shares with her ex-husband Morty Coyle. During a 2021 appearance on the Allison Interviews podcast, the mom of two made it sound like her daughters are just as strong-willed as Stephanie Tanner.
“My girls have good boundaries; they stand up for themselves and speak their minds,” she said. “Particularly my older one, she has always been that kid that would say, ‘I don’t like that.’ Not necessarily in a bratty way, but like, ‘Nope, I’m not doing this.’ ”
“I didn’t get those skills until I was in my 30s,” she continued. “I’m just so proud of how they stand up for themselves and say, ‘This is who I am, and this is what I like.'”
