A few days after revealing in the most low-key and casual way that he welcomed his seventh baby at 79 years young, Robert De Niro is finally sharing all the details.
The About My Father star revealed that he welcomed a baby girl named Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro with girlfriend Tiffany Chen on CBS Morningswith host Gayle King today.

Gia, which means “God is gracious,” weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces at birth and has thick brown hair. She looks adorable in pink-and-white striped footsie pajamas in the photo, which you can see HERE.
Robert De Niro Confirms Gia Was ‘Brought Here by Love’
On today’s episode of CBS Mornings, King shared that she interviewed the Oscar-winner last Saturday, where she asked him if his kids ever “embarrassed” him. “Oh yeah, all the time,” he said with a laugh, adding that “they don’t care” that he’s Robert De Niro.
After playing a clip from that interview, King said today, “What didn’t come up during our interview was that De Niro, who is 79, has a newborn!” So, she called him up to ask him why he didn’t tell her the news. According to King, De Niro responded, “Well, I actually thought about it, but we were discussing the movie and I didn’t want to take anything away from the movie, and it didn’t come up.”
It did come up at a red carpet interview with ET Canada on Monday, though, as a reporter mentioned his six kids, and he responded, “Seven, actually.”
According to King, De Niro answered that way because he “didn’t want to deny this baby.”
What a good dad! (But also, how was King to know to ask him about this?!) Since King was still disappointed, De Niro gave her permission to reveal his newborn’s name and picture. Oh my goodness is that baby girl cute!
According to King, De Niro and Chen are “over the moon about this baby girl.” She also revealed that De Niro confirmed Baby Gia was “planned” and “brought here by love.” How sweet is that?
Robert De Niro Has Seven Kids
Robert De Niro now has seven kids: daughter Gia, newborn, with Chen; daughter Helen Grace, 11, and son Elliot, 24, with Grace Hightower; twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with Toukie Smith; and son Raphael, 46, and daughter Drena, 51, with Diahnne Abbott.

Robert De Niro Says He’s Doing His ‘Best’ When it Comes to Fatherhood
On Tuesday, De Niro shared some fatherhood advice with Access Hollywood.
“Sometimes I don’t think people really know what being a good father is,” he said.
“Well, they do. You know you have your responsibility,” De Niro continued, adding that there are some things he’s still trying to figure out.
De Niro said, “But look, it’s a mystery. It’s a lot of excitement, but scary. And you do your best.”
That’s all anyone can do!
