Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s firstborn son turned 1 over the weekend, and the couple celebrated by posting the most adorable pictures of the little boy and (officially) confirming his name: RZA.
The “Fashion Killa” rapper shared several throwback pictures and videos on Instagram, giving a sweet look at the family’s home life. In the first photo, Rihanna leans forward to kiss Rocky on the cheek as RZA gazes up at the camera and chews on his fingers. In another, the family looks to be at a party of some sort, where the trio are all dressed in style in black leather (baby RZA even has Dior sunglasses on!).

Photo three in the carousel is a silly, behind-the-scenes moment with Rocky smiling, Rihanna making a duck face, and baby RZA cheesing for the camera. In the next, Rocky holds a diaper-clad RZA in one hand, as they gaze down at the camera with the exact same expression. He is his dad’s mini-me!
He also posted a couple of videos, including one with Rocky holding RZA up as he kicks his face. He’s just the cutest, smiley baby! There are more pictures of the family of three, and one special moment between Rocky and RZA, where he’s holding his baby while shaving. We love seeing these precious father-son moments!
A$AP Rocky Confirmed His Son’s Name Is RZA
In the birthday post, Rocky even confirmed his son’s name.
“’WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN 🤲’ HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN . RZA❤️” he captioned his post. He even shared a throwback clip of Wu-Tang at the end, confirming not just the baby’s name, but also its inspiration.
Last week, The Daily Mail obtained a copy of the baby’s birth certificate and revealed his name was RZA Athelston Mayers. They speculated that this was after the Wu-Tang member (whose name is pronounced “Rizza”) and Rocky himself, whose real name is Rakim Athelston Mayers.
People Can’t Get Over How Happy RZA Is
Based on the pictures over the last year, baby RZA is always smiling, and people noticed.
“This baby looks like he doesn’t even cry man,” one person commented.
Another wrote, “I ain’t never seen such a happy kid 😂💚it’s like he already knows who his parents are😂😂.”

Rihanna Says She Doesn’t Remember ‘Life Before’ RZA
Rihanna, who is currently pregnant with baby number two with Rocky, opened up earlier this year about how much motherhood has changed her.
“Oh, my God, it’s legendary. It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever,” she told Vogue UK in Feb. 2023. “You literally try to remember it — and there are photos of my life before — but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because… Because it doesn’t matter.”
“I cannot believe it,” Riri went on. “Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts.”
