Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Counts Alligators at the Australia Zoo — & Crikey, She’s Cute!

Spend two seconds on one of the Irwins’ Instagram profiles, and you’ll already start learning about wildlife conservation. Steve Irwin may have been the king of the animal documentaries, but his kids Bindi Irwin, 24, and Robert Irwin, 19, are carrying on the legacy through their social feeds — and Bindi’s 2-year-old daughter Grace is getting in on the fun, too! The toddler recently counted alligators while her uncle Robert and dad, Chandler Powell, fed them dinner, and the video would definitely make the Crocodile Hunter proud.

“Meet Daisy the alligator as she enjoys her dinner 🐊,” Robert captioned a video posted to Instagram this weekend.

“Today, we’re gonna head in and have a look at the alligators,” the wildlife photographer says in the video. He adds, “Grace is gonna watch feeding the alligators!” The camera pans to the toddler, who is dressed in a khaki sweater and pants. She turns and says, “Kachow!” and if your heart wasn’t melting before, it sure is now!

“We’re gonna watch Uncle Robert and Dada feed the alligators,” Bindi can be heard saying in the background as Grace peeks through the bars of the habitat. Robert jumps over the enclosure, as Bindi holds Grace at a safe distance. The little girl holds up her fingers, and Robert explains, “Grace is counting the alligators.”

Later, Robert lures Daisy the alligator out of the water to feed her, showcasing her sharp teeth and her super long tail, which he calls “the secret to their success.”

He added, “They’re really sweet. My dad called them frogs with shark teeth because that’s pretty much what they are.”

After the quick lesson, Robert returns to his niece and asks, “Grace, what did you think?”

She responds, “Love you, Daisy.”

How cute is she?! To her, Daisy is just like any other animal that she is learning to love, and I can’t get over the sweetness.
