Lynda Carter may have just celebrated her 72nd birthday, but she could pass for her 32-year-old daughter’s sister in a new photo.
Posing side by side on a scenic patio with lush greenery behind them, the Wonder Woman icon and her only daughter, Jessica Altman, smile for the camera while looking relaxed and effortlessly chic. Carter looks sensational in a high-neck dress with a blue, white, and purple marble-like pattern, as well as a white blazer layered overtop. Her chocolate curls fall around her shoulders while framing her face with swooping bangs.

Altman is just as stunning as her mom, wearing a stylish black short-sleeve dress with metallic hardware joining the fabric together at her bust and torso. Her long honey-highlighted hair falls over one shoulder in a voluminous blow-out.
Carter captioned the Instagram photo, “Thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes. Enjoyed a relaxing weekend with my daughter @jessica.carter.altman.”

In September 2020, Altman told Access Hollywood that if you strip away all of the fantastical superpowers, her mom truly is Wonder Woman. “She embodies the character every single day,” Carter’s daughter shared. She mused, “I think every person believes and sees the character as a strong woman figure in their lives. Their moms, their girlfriends, their grandmothers, their aunts, their sisters.”
Heartfelt Praise From Her Daughter
Altman continued gushing about her mom, telling Access, “I just feel really lucky that my mom is even more wonderful than the character.” She continued, “She taught me how to be strong; she taught me how to be brave, and she taught me that I could do whatever it is that I want to do, and that I didn’t have to fit anyone else’s ideal. I just had to be myself,” the proud daughter effused.
Carter’s Family
In addition to her daughter Jessica, Lynda Carter shares a 35-year-old son named James with her late husband, Robert Altman. Altman passed in February 2021 from a rare blood cancer called myelofibrosis. He and Carter had been married for 37 years prior to his death.
