After years of dressing your kids, it’s a little weird when they flip the script on you. Suddenly, you are a mom to tweens, teens, and a 20-something, and they decide it’s time to dress you. Kourtney Kardashian seems super close to her kids, and she revealed that they recently had “very strict instructions” for what she should wear to the Barbie movie last weekend.

In an Instagram Story, per Page Six, Kardashian wrote, “took the girls to see Barbie, had very strict instructions to wear my pink jorts.”
Kardashian, who is currently pregnant for the fourth time (and first) with husband Travis Barker, wears her dark black hair up in a ponytail in the picture. She is wearing black sunglasses that match her black phone case and tight-fitting black shirt. She has a pink leather jacket, which is buttoned just once under her neck. She wears matching pink cargo shorts that hang past her knees and are unbuckled to fit her growing bump. Tall black leather heeled boots complete the ensemble. She’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Barbie!
The Lemme founder is mom to Penelope, 11, with ex Scott Disick, and stepmom to Barker’s daughters Atiana De La Hoya, 24, and Alabama Barker, 17, with ex Shanna Moakler. She also has tons of nieces, like North West, 10 (who recently had a Barbie-themed birthday party!), Chicago West, 5, True Thompson, 5, and Dream Kardashian, 6. She didn’t reveal which “girls” dressed her, but it’s safe to say all of them have a great fashion sense!
She’s a Barbie Girl
The Kardashians star has been embracing the Barbiecore trend all summer. Earlier this month, Kardashian wore a Barbie-pink swimsuit in photos with influencer Addison Rae. She captioned it with a series of pink emojis: “💘🎀👙🩷🦩💞.”
She also shared a solo shot in Hawaii, where she wore a pink one-piece with a major cut-out to show her bare stomach and a matching pink wrap. “Aloha 🌺,” she wrote. Kardashian typically wears a more punk-rock look with her Blink-182 drummer boyfriend, so it’s a fun change to see her in all pink.
The Kids Are Involved in the ‘Baby Journey’
Kardashian and Barker also share three boys between them: Kardashian’s kids Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, whom she shares with Disick, and Barker’s Landon, 19, with Moakler.
The family is reportedly “including [their kids] in the baby journey whenever possible” as the new baby is “a celebration for the whole family,” an insider recently told Us Weekly. This includes “having their kids contribute to the list” of potential baby names.
The deuo obviously take the opinions of their six kids seriously, and it’s nice to see! And based on her Barbie outfit alone, they have some fabulous opinions!
