Babies are on the brain for Britney Spears, but her husband Sam Asghari reportedly does not feel the same.
An insider told Us Weeklythis week that the 41-year-old popstar “really wants kids in the near future, but Sam isn’t so sure.” They added that the 29-year-old feels like his life is “very full right now” and he “isn’t in a rush.”

The “Mind Your Business” singer is mom to sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, with ex Kevin Federline. They have had a contentious relationship, and Spears is estranged from her sons, who are planning on moving to Hawaii with their dad. Spears married Asghari in June 2022, a mere seven months after her 13-year conservatorship ended, so it’s understandable she wants to have a baby.
The source told Us Weekly that she hopes to get pregnant the “natural way if possible” and is “anxious to get started.”
“She wants to be a mom again so badly and says Sam’s breaking a promise he made when they first got together,” the insider continued. “It’s hard to imagine him changing his mind anytime soon.”
That has got to be hard for Spears, who has said she was forced to be on birth control while under her conservatorship. Now to have her husband not be on the same baby-making page as she is has got to feel devastating.
Despite his feelings right now, the insider insists that Asghari and Spears have “discussed” having children “at great lengths.” They added, they will have a baby “when the time is right.”
Britney Experienced a Miscarriage in May 2022
In April 2022, Spears and Asghari announced they were expecting their first child together. Unfortunately, the pregnancy ended in miscarriage a little over a month later.
“We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family 💝 Thank you for your support,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post.
The accompanying photo said, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however, we were overly excited to share the good news. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment. Sam & Britney.”

Even if the “Toxic” singer isn’t getting her own baby just yet, she still gets to celebrate being an auntie for *NSYNC alum Lance Bass’ twin babies, Violet Betty and Alexander James, 20 months, who he shares with husband Michael Turchin.
“I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies !!! They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!” Spears wrote on Twitter, along with a picture of her holding one of the babies.
She looks so happy and content holding those babies, we hope she and Asghari work something out soon so she can have another baby of her own!
