Being an animal lover runs in the family! Kaley Cuoco shared that her 6-month-old daughter Matilda “Tildy” Carmine Richie is “obsessed” with the family’s four dogs in a sweet new interview.
The Based on a True Story star told Entertainment Tonight, “[Tildy] is obsessed. What a beautiful thing to raise a kid — she’s only six months — surrounded by animals 24/7.”

“She’s in her walker now. She doesn’t walk, she doesn’t even crawl, but she miraculously is in her walker, like, running around the house, so we laugh,” Cuoco added. “We’re like, ‘Look out, everybody. You’re gonna lose a tail.'” She’s just trying to keep up with her furry friends!
Puppy Love
Despite the danger of losing their tails, Cuoco’s dogs love their baby sister. “But they love her, they kiss her. I mean, from week two, they were kissing her on the mouth,” The Flight Attendant star, who shares Tildy with Tom Pelphrey, said. “I was like, ‘Is this OK?’ And our pediatrician was like, ‘It’s totally fine’”
“They’re kind of being raised together and it’s so beautiful and very natural, you know?” she added.
Cuoco, who also owns a rescue ranch for farm animals, recently started dog product brand Oh Norman! It’s named after her dog of 14 years who died in 2021. “I am a girl who loves dogs,” she told the outlet.
Horse Lover
But dogs aren’t the family’s only four-legged friends. Back in April, Cuoco introduced Tildy to her horses. “Finally Tildy met her barn friends today!” The Big Bang Theory alum wrote on her Instagram Story. She also shared adorable photos of a then-3-week-old Tildy looking at a horse named Carlata, crying when a horse named Cody tried to lick her, and finally, happily gazing at a horse.
Who knows? Maybe Tildy will grow up to be a horseback rider just like her mom.
Grace Irwin Also Lives With Animals
Tildy isn’t the only celebrity kid growing up with animals. Bindi Irwin’s 2-year-old daughter Grace Irwin lives on the Australia Zoo, surrounded by wildlife.
“Our playdates are a little not-usual … we end up having playdates in the middle of Western Queensland surrounded by emus, so it’s a lot of fun. I guess that’s the Irwins for you,” Irwin told SheKnows in Sept. 2023.
She also shared that her own childhood was one big adventure. “I was always running around in the creek or running around with animals or climbing a tree,” she said. “Honestly, looking back, I now really revel in the fact that I was so lucky to be able to have that childhood. I feel very, very blessed that I got that time with my family to run around as a wild child.”
Grace and Tildy are two lucky little girls!
