When it comes to co-parenting with ex Rob Kardashian, Angela White (formerly known as Blac Chyna) focuses on one major thing — and we think it’s a great idea. In a new interview with TODAY, White revealed that co-parenting her daughter Dream, 6, with Kardashian is going “great,” and she credits it to good “communication.”
“Communication is key,” she told the outlet. “Just in life in general. So we do have an open line of communication so we can make sure that Dream is taken care of and all her needs are met.” Yes! Communication is vital to make any relationship work, but especially when there is a kid involved. We love that she is putting her differences aside to focus on her daughter’s needs.
Angela White Addressed Her Relationship With the Kardashians
White and Kardashian welcomed Dream in 2016, and they split a year later. In 2022, White sued the Kardashian family for allegedly ruining her career, but she lost the case. She told TODAY that she didn’t “want to talk about them” when asked about her relationship with The Kardashians stars.
“I’m talking about Angela White,” she said. “And that part bothers me, you know what I mean? Like why does it always have to be about somebody else? My relationship … is … what it’s gonna be. But what does it matter? The only thing that matters is how I treat people and how I take care of my kids. That’s really it.”
White also co-parents her 11-year-old son King Cairo with ex Tyga, who she says is someone she “co-exist[s]” with. “That’s like the best thing,” she says. “We just worry about King — that’s really it.” According to TODAY, she made this statement a few days before Tyga filed for legal and physical custody of King in October.
White told E! News, “I have always respected him as King’s father and know that we both love him very much and want nothing but the best for him. I never imagined that Michael would want to alienate me or distance me from King and strategically push me out of his life.”
She added, “I do not know where all of this is coming from. It’s all very sad and definitely not what is best for King. In a perfect world Michael and I would be supportive, loving co-parents equally involved in King’s life.”
Khloé Kardashian Joked About Parenting Dream
Earlier this year, Khloé Kardashian joked that she was “just a third parent” to Dream, leading to speculation that there was still an ongoing feud with White. The Good American founder then issued a lengthy statement praising both White and her brother.
“It saddens me to see clickbait headlines that are taken out of context or twisted to be something it’s not,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “I love ALL of my nieces and nephews more than I can express. Dream and I are particularly close. My brother and I are extremely close. I am with Dream all the time because I’m with my brother all of the time. I love her beyond measure.”
She added, “Rob is doing the best he can as a parent and in life. Angela is doing the best she can as a parent and in life. I am doing the best I can as a parent and in life.” Later, Khloé insisted that there is no drama.
“I’m sure the narrative of ‘The Kardashians VS Chyna’ is more fun to read about but there really is nothing there anymore,” she said. “We all want to move on from the negativity. The focus is on Dream and her happiness and making sure she feels unconditional love at her mommy’s house, her daddy’s house and any family members house for that matter.”
Angela White Addressed the Controversy
White addressed Khloé’s comments in an interview with Entertainment Tonightin August. “You have to think, too, they’re so close, you know? Rob and Khloé. So of course Dream’s gonna be like [that] with True, you know what I mean?” she said. “I feel like, you know, everybody was young [at the height of the drama]. [There’s] more things that we have to worry about, aside from that. [But] why have this feud when we gonna be family forever?”
Such a good point!
