Beyoncé is, well, Beyoncé — Queen, Mother, Sasha Fierce, the woman who’s had a chokehold on our hearts and minds since the late ‘90s. But away from all the glitz and glamour, she is mostly just “Mom.” In fact, even in the midst of her fame, the “Break My Soul” singer is still a protective mama bear at heart to her kids Blue Ivy, 11, and twins Sir and Rumi, 6, with Jay-Z — something she recently proved at the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé on Thursday night.
Keeping Her Baby Warm
Tina Knowles shared a heartwarming, behind-the-scenes video of her daughter Beyoncé and granddaughter Blue Ivy, 11, on the red carpet. Beyoncé and Blue are wearing matching black as they pose in front of the glittery silver backdrop. Beyonce’s long, icy-blonde hair is curly as she wears a black coat over a leotard with black boots. Blue’s dark hair is down, and she’s wearing a one-shoulder dress with black sunglasses.
In the video, Bey has her arm around her daughter, as they smile for the cameras. At one point she rubs Blue’s shoulder and leans down to whisper, “Are you cold?” Blue nods, “Yes” and the duo smiles for a couple more pictures before Bey dashes off, presumably to grab a coat or a wrap for her daughter, telling cameras, “Wait a minute, she’s cold.”
The sweet clip made Tina cry. “This has me in tears right now,” she captioned her video. “To the fans that are there uplifting this beautiful talented 11 year old I thank you I appreciate you ❤️❤️.” (Watch it HERE.)

Proud Parents
In the Renaissance World Tourconcert film, the “Crazy In Love” singer said that Blue Ivy became the target for internet haters after joining her on stage.
Last month, Jay-Z told Gayle King on CBS, “What makes me super proud — I still get goosebumps seeing her walk on stage — is because Blue’s been born into … a life that she didn’t ask for — under scrutiny, public eye, everyone having an opinion of, even a little girl, how she keeps her hair,” Jay-Z said. “So for her to be on that stage and reclaim her power … you can’t write a better script.”
He added, “And then watching her grow in it. You know she came out to 80,000 people. She’s 11 so she’s nervous.”
But according to her proud mom, Blue used the criticism to better her performance. Per The New York Times, “It thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops.”
