Motherhood looks good on Rihanna! The “Diamonds” singer, who is mom to RZA, 19 months, and Riot Rose, 4 months, opened up about being a boy mom in a new interview, and she was positively beaming.
Proud Boy Mom
Rihanna attended the Fenty x Puma sneaker launch party at NeueHouse Los Angeles on Monday, where she told Entertainment Tonightthat her boys are “the best.” “Having a house full of boys,” Rihanna begins, “I mean, I thought I was a girl mom [but] I’m a boy mom. I love this. I love it.”
Aww! As someone who also thought I would only have girls, but have three boys, I can relate to this so much. You don’t realize how special sons are until they’re born, and this is so sweet.
Sibling Love
In the interview, Rihanna also revealed that her son RZA “struggled in the beginning” with being a big brother to baby Riot. But now? “He loves his little brother,” she told ET. “If the baby’s crying, he’ll come and just like hold his hands.”
“It hurts him if the baby’s crying,” she continued. “He’ll wake up in the morning just saying, ‘baby, baby, baby, baby, baby.’ He loves him. It took a while, but he got there, and I’m proud of him.” You just know they are going to grow up to be the best of friends!
Relationship With Their Dad
The “Lift Me Up” singer also spoke to Access Hollywood at the event, where she opened up about how her relationship with A$AP Rocky changed after becoming parents. “I loved him differently as a dad,” she told the outlet. “This is major, major, like, it’s a turn on. It’s just like, ‘Wow! What a leader, what a great, patient, loving [dad].”
“And my kids are obsessed with him. I’m just a background, like, I’m an extra. Yep! It happens … it doesn’t matter if it’s girls or boys, they love their dad differently, and I love to see it.”
