Despite changing trends and new technology, some toys remain popular for generations. Bindi Irwin’s latest photo with her daughter Grace, 2, proves that, and it’s making us feel majorly nostalgic.
The Australia Zoo conservationist shared a new photo on Christmas Day with her husband Chandler Powell, their daughter Grace, and Powell’s parents. The five of them are dressed in jeans and sitting on a low brick wall in front of pretty trees. Grace sits on her mom’s lap, smiling in a pink t-shirt and matching sneakers, and holding a familiar-looking toy — a stick horse!

This wooden toy features a carved horse head on the top of a long stick that goes in between your feet as you skip around and pretend that you are horseback riding. It even has little leather reins for her to hold onto while she “rides.” As a horse-obsessed kid, I loved the one I had, and it’s so cute to see Grace playing with this throwback toy now.
“Looking back on an amazing year as we celebrate Christmas,” Powell captioned the picture, posted jointly by him and Bindi. “Feeling grateful for time shared and memories made together with family. Happy holidays!”
Visit to Disney World
The Irwins recently hung out with Powell’s family in Florida. Bindi and her mom Terri Irwin and her brother Robert Irwin flew with Powell and Grace to the Sunshine State and went to Disney World together over Thanksgiving. They even shared one epic family photo, complete with Grace in her cute koala bear hat.
Christmas Card
Last week, Bindi shared several family photos for Christmas, featuring Grace holding a little star ornament and smiling in her Australia Zoo Christmas t-shirt.
“From our Wildlife Warriors family to yours – happy holidays.❤️🐊🌟” the Crikey! It’s The Irwins star captioned the sweet post.
More Holiday Wishes
Terri and Robert shared their own holiday tributes this year.
“I’m so grateful for my little fam,” Robert captioned a photo of the four Irwins and one Powell, all wearing matching khaki. “They’ve got my back every day, and I love them more than words can describe ☺️❤️”
Terri shared a throwback photo of her late husband, Steve Irwin, when Robert was a baby and Bindi was a young child.
“December 2003. Best month. Best Christmas. Best family. Cherish every moment. ❤️” she captioned the sweet post. She also shared a heartwarming clip of her and Steve wishing fans “a safe and Merry Christmas.”
