Three of Angelina Jolie’s six kids stepped out with their mom Wednesday night in support of her latest endeavor in the New York City fashion scene: a visit to her new fashion house, Atelier Jolie.
Matching Black
Pax Jolie-Pitt, 20, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 18, and Knox Jolie-Pitt, 15, accompanied their famous mom on the visit, per Hello! In pictures from the appearance, Jolie wore a black blazer with matching black pants and an oversized black handbag with sunglasses. She walked hand-in-hand with Zahara, who wore a black North Face puffer jacket over a white t-shirt with blue Converse.
In a September interview with Vogue, the Salt star called Zahara “grounded, decisive, and thoughtful.” She also opened up about motherhood, saying, “Having children saved me — and taught me to be in this world differently. I think, recently, I would’ve gone under in a much darker way had I not wanted to live for them.”
“They’re better than me, because you want your children to be,” she continued. “Of course I’m the mother, and hopefully that safe place for them and that stability. But I’m also the one that they laugh at — and I see them taking over so many different aspects of our family.”
Pax Trailed Behind His Mom & Sister
Although he tends to shy away from the public eye, Pax was also photographed in support of his mom, wearing a black-and-white plaid shirt and black jeans with black Converse. (Knox was not pictured.) Back in October, he and his older brother Maddox, 21, joined their mom on set of Maria, another way to show how much they love her.
Angelina Jolie’s ‘Eternals’ Fashion Experiment
Jolie shares Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Knox, Shiloh, 17, and Vivienne, 15, with ex Brad Pitt. Five of her children joined her for the red-carpet premiere of Eternals in 2021, where they all got to showcase their unique style.
In an interview with WSJ Magazine earlier this month, the Maleficent star revealed that she gave her kids secondhand garments, including pieces from her closet and thrift shops, to design their outfits.
“That was just an experiment in, ‘Here’s some old clothes, here’s some vintage, here’s some things you can cut up — you can do it all these different ways,’” Jolie told her kids. She recalled asking them, “‘Who are you? What do you want?’” Not “Who does the world expect you to be as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s kids?” or “What current fashion trends might satisfy the image people have painted of you?”
“You know, I don’t work regularly with a stylist; I don’t like the idea of just somebody putting clothes on me or on my kids. I don’t think they like the idea of being styled by someone else,” the humanitarian shared. “So much of clothing is identity and if someone else is styling you and if someone else is dictating who you are and what you wear… Especially as a mother, I want to know who my children are,” Jolie added.
