Jessica Biel and husband Justin Timberlake are usually pretty reserved about their private life, but in a rare new glimpse of casual days at home, it’s clear these two A-listers are just like us.
The Candy star, who shares sons Silas, 8, and Phineas, 3, with Timberlake, shared a photo carousel on Instagram Wednesday. “More of this ⬆️ in 2024,” she captioned the post, filled with laid-back photos of life at home.
In the first picture, Biel is resting with one hand on her head, wearing a cozy and colorful knit beanie. In the next, her son Phineas poses for a photo, wearing a similar knit beanie — but his is looking like Animal from The Muppets with big monster eyes, a toothy smile, and wild red hair. The hat covers his whole face, but you can see a little bit of blonde curl sticking out the bottom.

Slide 3 features a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood backpack on the coffee table, sitting next to a creamy hot chocolate with a huge marshmallow dog sitting on top, and a book called The F**k It! List by Julie Halpern sitting open next to it. The scene is such a casual depiction of home life — kids’ stuff everywhere, trying to sneak in some reading for you while enjoying a warm drink with your little ones. We love this relaxed and casual look into their life!
Other pictures in the carousel include pictures of what looks to be tarot cards, a moon calendar, and a sunset at the beach. Ultimately, peaceful moments that she wants to repeat this year.
The Comments
The comments were full of praise for these sweet mom moments. “Daniel Tiger & hot cocoa! 😻” one person wrote.
“Omg I love this so much 😂❤️🙌,” someone else said.
“Okay the dog marshmallow is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” another wrote.
“I mean I really really really want that monster hat😭,” someone else commented.
Staying Present
These casual photos reveal a side of Biel that she has opened up about before. In a Nov. 2022 interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, the Seventh Heaven alum revealed, “One of the best pieces of parenting advice I’ve ever got …You cannot do both at the same time,” Biel said, explaining, “When you’re wrestling on the floor, you’re wrestling on the floor. Don’t answer the phone. Don’t look at a work thing. Don’t text somebody. Don’t do any of it. You are wrestling on the floor,” she laughed.
“That’s what we do in my household. A lot of wrestling,” Biel quipped. While your house may or may not look the same (as a mom of three boys, my house definitely looks like this), the point of being present with your kids stands. And it’s such a great reminder!
Her Perfect Day
The Cruel Summer executive producer opened up about her ideal day as a mom in an August interview with SheKnows. “My perfect day as a mom would start with my kids sleeping in to 8am! Eureka!” she explained. We wish! “Then, we all eat a perfectly balanced breakfast with no screaming or negotiating, then we play and swim and watch movies together, and they’re having so much fun and being so kind to each other and reasonable that I don’t have to say no to ANYTHING!” Biel finished with a laugh. That does sound like a perfect day!
But if we’re talking a realistic perfect day, Biel told us, “Honestly, a great day would be a day that I don’t have to work, and we can play without any time limits or other household responsibilities that I have to attend to. A great day with my kids is a day that I can give them my undivided attention.”
