Melissa Gilbert shares why the entertainment industry is more difficult now than it was when she was a child.

Melissa says, “It’s never easy for anyone to grow up in the public eye. It’s very difficult no matter the generation. There are a lot of unusual and weird pressures. When I grew up, it was difficult to be a child actor, but now it’s a completely different situation for young people and celebrities in general. When I was a kid, you had paparazzi but you knew where they were and you knew when they were coming. Now, everyone is paparazzi. Everyone has a phone. There is the added pressure of not trusting anyone, anywhere, and that didn’t exist when I was a child. I think it’s a lot harder now.”
