Mommalogues: The only time it’s OK to give a baby a ‘weird’ name

Some people put a lot of thought into naming their babies; others go with family names. I’ll never understand how some celebrities decide on baby names, though.

Naming kids after fruit and colors seems to be pretty popular, and a lot of them give their kids stage names as real names — I mean, Blue Ivy? She sounds like a comic book hero! She’s going to have to fight hard against having a massive ego with a name like that. If it’s possible to have a name that is too cool, Blue Ivy is it.
