The Way Home’s Chyler Leigh Reveals the Parenting Moment She Would Do ‘A Million Times Over’

Chyler Leigh just revealed one of her most treasured motherhood memories, and you’re going to want to get the tissues ready. The actress was initially coy when she sat down with SheKnows to talk about her favorite motherhood moment. After all, she is the proud mom to three kids — Noah, Taelyn, and Anniston — who she shares with husband Nathan West.

“If I chose one, that would be really bad,” she tells SheKnows Entertainment Writer Giovana Gelhoren when asked what moment she would want to relive with her kids.

But … alright … if we were to twist her arm (and we promise we didn’t!), she would choose an experience that absolutely oozes main character energy. Leigh, who stars in The Way Home — Hallmark’s hit series about the intricacies of mother-daughter relationships, the trials and tribulations of [un]requited love, and the never-ending mysteries of time travel — told Gelhoren about an unforgettable family vacation.

While sitting alongside co-star and on-screen daughter Sadie Laflamme-Snow, Leigh reminisced on visiting Disneyland Paris with her kids. They were riding Crush’s Coaster, and Leigh was sitting on a “swirly chair” with Taelyn.

“And we lost our minds laughing so hard,” she says of the core memory. “It was just such a sweet moment.”

We can just see it now, their heads thrown back in laughter, their hair whipping around them, time slowing down as the fictional camera pans in and the sentimental music plays. And then, of course, the ride eventually comes to a stop, the sentimental music is gradually swapped out for the ultra-chill voice of Crush from Finding Nemo, and the mother-daughter duo try their best to stop the giggles and catch their breath.

(And no, I’m not crying, you’re crying!)

“I would do that a million times over again,” Leigh says.

But every motherhood moment doesn’t have to be fantastical and worthy of a heartwrenching fictional soundtrack for it to fill Leigh with joy. In fact, the Grey’s Anatomy alum says that her proudest mom moment is every day that she’s with her kids. And yes, she knows that might sound cheesy, but she’s sticking to it!

“They are teaching me all the time about my strength [and] power,” she says. “My love for them is fierce.”

She loves going to bed knowing they are safe, loved, and fed ( ” … mostly [fed] — ’cause they’re teens,” she says with a “’nuff said” look on her face.).

“And [I’m proud to] wake up the next morning and say, ‘They’re here, they’re with me, and I’ve done a good job keeping them alive.'”

Safe, loved, mostly fed, alive … and sometimes laughing so hard you feel like you’re losing your mind.
