The Kitten World Cup may be the only sport we need to watch (VIDEO)

Rugby may not be a sport for everyone but when there are kittens involved that changes everything — which is probably why The Kitten World Cup 2015 is earning so much Internet love.

The video, which was uploaded by New Zealand YouTube stars Jono and Ben, shows six adorable kittens (three tabbies and three gingers) from Prance and The All Cats battle it out to see who will be crowned victorious.

Their game is based on the quarter-final Rugby World Cup clash between New Zealand’s All Blacks and France, which saw the New Zealanders triumph with a whopping 62 to 13 points victory. But instead of Brodie Retallick, Richie McCaw and Sonny Bill Williams this version has some kitten additions.

Meet Brodie Catellic, Pickenmeow, Sunny Bill Whiskers and Richie McClaw, who are undoubtedly the cutest sports stars you’ve ever seen, as they score tries with their wind-up mouse ball. There’s also coach Pug Hanson, who oversaw the game and was very unimpressed when things took a wild turn and Prance’s player 8 decided to play dirty.

Really though, the video is genius — there’s a reason it’s been watched almost 50,000 times.
