Gisele Bündchen

Gisele Bündchen is a Brazilian supermodel who achieved unprecedented success in the fashion world. Throughout her career, she walked numerous runway shows, graced countless international fashion magazines and became the highest-paid model in the world in 2002 – a title she held every year until 2017.

Bündchen was born in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on July 20, 1980. She was first discovered at just 14 years old when she was walking in a shopping mall and a modeling agent from Elite Model Management spotted her and invited her to the agency.

By 1998, she got her big break at an international career when she wowed at Alexander McQueen's iconic spring 1998 runway where actually rain poured onto the runway. That same year, she appeared in multiple fashion campaigns including Missoni, Chloé, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Gianfranco Ferré, Ralph Lauren, and Versace.

In 2000, her supermodel status only continued when she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel – a role she had until 2006.

In 2015, she announced her retirement from runways.

As for her personal life, Bündchen married former NFL player Tom Brady in 2009. Throughout their marriage, they welcomed son Benjamin, born in 2009, and Vivian, born in 2012. In October 2022, however, Bündchen and Brady announced their amicable split after 13 years of marriage.

In November 2024, news broke that she was expecting a third baby with her boyfriend, Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. The two had been dating since the summer of 2023.
