The Bachelorette
The Bachelorette is an American dating reality TV show that airs on ABC. The show debuted on January 8, 2003, with Trista Sutter as the first-ever bachelorette, followed by one annual season every year since. It incorporates their parent-show, The Bachelor, by having a runner-up from that show be the Bachelorette of the next season.
The show follows a single woman who dates a group of romantic prospects over several weeks in the hopes of finding a fiancé. Throughout the season, the bachelorette eliminates candidates in a weekly "rose ceremony," in which he gives a rose to contestants he would like to keep dating. During the show, they all travel to a range of international locations for elaborate dates, all in the hopes of The Bachelorette finding her future husband.
Other spin-offs in Bachelor Nation include Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise, The Bachelor Winter Games, The Golden Bachelor, and The Golden Bachelorette.
The Bachelorette was hosted by Chris Harrison for the first 16 seasons before he stepped down in 2021. After that, JoJo Fletcher briefly hosted, and in 2021, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe became the co-hosts. Then, on July 11, 2022, Jesse Palmer became the host.
Notably, in season 16, the show featured two Bachelorettes concurrently: Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams.
Notable The Bachelorette stars include: JoJo Fletcher, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Tayshia Adams, Rachel Lindsay, Trista Sutter, Clare Crawley, Becca Kufrin, Zac Clark, and Dale Moss.
