The world is a dangerous place, which is why Savagepunk Studio created their own line of epic cat battle armor. As a result, people fell in love with it and began creating their own cat armor.
In the past, several different animals wore armor, but it’s not really needed today. Cats served in the Navy during both World Wars, keeping the ships free of mice and rats and protecting food stores. Perhaps some cat armor could have helped them fight off some of the more fearsome rodents.
While cat battle armor is definitely not necessary today, it is pretty humorous, and we have the cat (and some other animal) pictures to prove it.
Ready for action
If a war were to break out in this kitty’s living room, he would be ready.
Coffee table guard
He’s guarding that coffee table in full armor.
High-tech outfit
Some really tech-savvy cat owners even used 3D printers to create their own custom cat armor.
Sink kitty
This sink kitten is ready to defend her territory in her DIY cat armor.
Mouse armor
Armor for cats could be necessary if Canadian-based artist Jeff de Boer’s mouse armor takes off.
Dogs want to play too
Dogs were getting jealous of all the costume fun, so they joined in too.
Dog armor 2
Some dogs need armor in real life. Kevlar bulletproof canine vests and other military gear protect these dog soldiers and officers in the line of duty.
Horses used to wear armor
Before armored tanks, we had armored horses. Knights dressed their horses in metal and leather armor to keep them safe in battle.
Elephant armor
Elephants were used in Indian warfare for over 2,000 years and were outfitted with heavy-duty armor.
Cats wear it best
But in our opinion, out of all of these armor-wearing animals, cats wear it best.
