15 incredibly realistic wool animals that you’ll swear are alive

by

You’ll need to do a double take when you look at the animals created by Russian artist Tatiana Barakova. They’re made of wool, but it’s hard to believe they’re not real, breathing creatures.

Her technique, called wool needle felting, is a quickly growing art medium, and it’s safe to say that Barakova has mastered it. She painstakingly devotes herself to each creation, taking about two weeks to make each animal.

Scroll through these pictures of her works, and try to convince yourself that they’re not real. And then raise your hand if you’re just a little bit creeped out.

Check out her Instagram for even more impressive images.
