By bringing shelter pets to K-12 classrooms across the country, Cohen is supporting a new initiative that strives to teach children lessons on social and emotional intelligence. The program is called The Mutt-i-grees Curriculum, and it was started by the North Shore Animal League America. According to The Huffington Post, the program has now reached over 4,000 schools.
