Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten springs for a Manhattan extension of her Hamptons compound

Turns out the next time you’re invited to a dinner party at Ina and Jeffrey Garten’s, don’t assume you’ll find yourself in their lust-worthy Hamptons house made famous by her hit Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The couple just bought a new Park Avenue pied-à-terre. The Barefoot Contessa, and arbiter of whether ingredients are “good” or not, Ina Garten, just picked up the Manhattan apartment for $4.6 million with a kitchen worthy of her culinary skills.

The apartment has two bedrooms, three bathrooms, more han 2,400 square feet and 10-foot ceilings. The Park Avenue co-op was previously owned by Nancy Novogrod, the former editor-in-chief of Travel & Leisure, and her husband according to The Observer. The interiors were definitely done by someone with impeccable taste, something Garten’s fans have come to know and love her for.

The apartment is also in one of the fanciest NYC Upper East Side neighborhoods, close to Central Park, Barneys (natch) and famous restaurants like Daniel. But with a kitchen like the one in this apartment, it’s hard to believe there’s going to be anywhere better to eat in the vicinity than Garten’s.

We’ll bring the flowers!
