Michelle Branch posted a screenshot of a news article to her followers that read “The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade,” along with a note at the top saying: “What the actual f**k. This is terrifying. Women have less rights than our grandmothers did. Dystopian nightmare.”

Phoebe Bridgers tweeted a slew of tweets that showed her anger towards it.

Halle Berry also tweeted soon after the news broke: “I’m outraged! What the supreme court has done is BULLS**T. Something has to be done! Guns have more rights than women.”

Jessica Biel tweeted, “I am enraged. What happened today is not only a disgusting step backward for women – undermining our ability to make decisions for our own bodies… but it’s also dangerous. You didn’t ban abortion, you banned access to SAFE abortion. #BansOffOurBodies”

Taylor Swift retweeted Michelle Obama’s letter, adding: “I’m absolutely terrified that this is where we are – that after so many decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their own bodies, today’s decision has stripped us of that.”

Michelle Obama tweeted a  note that started by saying: “I am heartbroken today. I am heartbroken for the people around this country who just lost the fundamental right to make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

Rita Moreno said: “I’m not shocked because I saw it coming, but I’m stunned. I think about the young girls. Taking it to the most extreme, girls who get pregnant because of rape or incest. Unfair isn’t a strong enough word, but it’s unfair.”

Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker opened up to her followers hours after the heartbreaking news. She shared a post on Instagram talking about when she had an abortion in 2020.

Cheryl Burke stated,“I’m saddened by the Supreme Court’s decisions right to overturn #roevwade that guarantees a woman’s right to choose...”

Olivia Rodrigo said to the crowd before a concert: “I’m devastated and terrified. So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: "Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away. It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized."
