Sarah Jessica Parker brings home twins

Sarah Jessica Parker has brought her twins home with husband Matthew Broderick. The Sex and the City star welcomed twin daughters Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick on Monday.

Parker and her husband Broderick had difficulty conceiving and turned to a surrogate to bear their child as millions of people do – only most aren’t celebrities who have their
surrogate’s name plastered across the tabloids.

Other than that one flare up with the press, Parker’s surrogate’s pregnancy went fine with little fanfare.

East Ohio Regional Hospital spokesperson Maggie Espina says, “Yes, they are gone,” thus confirming twins and family are all together back at home.

Parker and Broderick have a six-year-old son Wilkie. The couple released a statement earlier this week in anticipation of the upcoming
birth:

“They are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”

Marion Loretta Elwell arrived at 3:58 pm on June 29 weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces. Soon after, baby Tabitha Hodge Broderick arrived weighing 6 pounds. “Both Hodge and Elwell are family names
on Parker’s side,” Broderick and Parker’s statement explains.

Parker is due to begin filming the Sex and the City sequel in New York City in September for an expected summer 2010 release. Look
