It’s undoubtedly been a rough couple of weeks for Suri Cruise and her mother, Katie Holmes. The two recently uprooted from their home in New York and relocated to California, and now Cruise’s newly adopted pooch is lost, according to TMZ.
The 1-year-old tan Chihuahua mix, who answers to the names “Honey” and “Maple,” was last seen in Beverly Hills on Sunday, where Holmes had left the dog at a friend’s home. Honey reportedly slipped out the front gate and was not wearing a collar. Holmes and Suri adopted Honey from a Studio City, California, rescue just a couple of weeks ago.
TMZ reports that up to 50 reward posters have been spotted throughout the area where the dog went missing and Holmes is offering $1,000 for Honey’s safe return. The signs detail that Honey is 10 pounds and she was last seen at Benedict Canyon and Green Acres in Beverly Hills. The posters also feature a photo of the cute pup laying on a cheetah print blanket wearing a pink dress.
Holmes recently purchased a 6,000 square foot home for $3,795,000 in the Oaks neighborhood in Calabasas, California, just two months after the announcement that she had purchased a $4,000,000 apartment in New York City. TMZ reports that Holmes made the move to the west coast so her daughter could grow up in a kid-filled neighborhood, but there are also rumors that Holmes returned to Hollywood to breathe life back into her career. “It’s the life of an actor,” she said to DuJour magazine last week of her recent lack of work. “We don’t really have a lot of choice in the matter. You have dry spells, and then you have times when there is a lot of opportunity.”
